People keep calling the nintendo revolution the nintendo wii so I was just wondering.

    Nintendo Wii was called the Nintendo Revolution before the name change. People who still call it the Revolution are (most likely) people who like the name Revolution better than Wii.

    Revolution was the codename unto they thought of a final name.

    There is no difference. The Nintendo Wii is the official name. The Nintendo Revolution was the codename.
